This is one of my favorite things to do, 

draw and paint horses in the snow.  Linda has been

my riding instructor and friend for many years.  She

often displays this nurturing gesture with her horses, untangling the knotted hairs in their manes.

One of several Canadians at the Vicary/Landry Farm.   This painting was inspired by Stewart, who I hope to ride in the new year.   They are such gentle creatures but strong and hardy to withstand our harsh Canadian Winters.

This painting is included in the present exhibit at the Roxy Gallery in Owen Sound.

This Pastel Drawing was a labour of love having been one of many who have road this Majestic Appaloosa at G.R.A.C.E. Therapeutic Riding Stables in Owen Sound.  His quiet but Strong Nature makes him an excellent GRACE horse, despite his Classy Hunter Showing  career.  This painting will be put up for auction (along with many other wonderful related items) at this years annual fundraiser for G.R.A.C.E.

a painting, but they couldn't agree on the subject.

One wanted a Jazz focus and the other wanted

a Landscape painting.  Here is what I came up with...I think

it worked out pretty good.
